HOTEL MOLISE 2, Milan

The hotel sits in a low-rise residential area, about 40 minutes on foot from the Duomo. Tram line 16 stops within 5 minutes' walk and goes directly to the stadium and city centre. Bus lines 90 and 91, with a stop near the entrance, connect to Milano Centrale station. The nearest metro is a 20-minute walk, so surface transport is more practical. An Aldi supermarket is opposite the hotel, and a minimarket is on site. Several restaurants and pizzerias are within 0.5 km. The area is busy during the day but feels less secure at night; solo travellers may prefer to use transport after dark.

Room types range from single to triple, all with private bathroom, free toiletries, hairdryer, wardrobe, and safe. The double rooms offer either one double or two single beds. Rooms are clean but compact, with basic, dated furniture. The soundproofed windows effectively block street noise, but walls between rooms are thin, so hallway and neighbouring sounds are audible. Air conditioning is standard, though some units have been reported as inconsistent. Garden views are available in most rooms. No rooms have a balcony. The lift serves all floors. The accommodation suits budget-conscious travellers who prioritise location and practical amenities over modern decor.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 in a dedicated area. The selection includes croissants, small cakes, boiled eggs, and a coffee machine that makes cappuccino. The variety is limited and items are not restocked once finished, so arriving early ensures the widest choice. No restaurant is on site, but the bar and snack bar offer light bites and drinks throughout the day. Room service and packed lunches are available. Several casual dining options, pizzerias, and a pastry shop are within a 10-minute walk. Breakfast can be added to some rates or paid on site; payment at the hotel is required if not included.

The property does not have a spa, gym, or swimming pool. Leisure options on site are limited to the shared lounge/TV area and board games. For evening entertainment, the hotel can arrange happy hour, nightclub/DJ sessions, and themed dinner nights at an additional charge. The surrounding area has cafés and bars, and the city centre's nightlife is accessible via the nearby tram.

The 24-hour front desk offers concierge, tour desk, and locker storage. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or after check-out. Daily housekeeping is included, but the key must be left at reception to have the room serviced. Additional paid services: laundry and ironing, shuttle service (no airport transfer), business centre, meeting/banquet facilities, and grocery deliveries. A minimarket is on site for essentials. Family rooms and board games are available. Pets are allowed with charges. Security features include CCTV, 24-hour security, smoke alarms, and safety deposit boxes. No parking is available on site.
