HOTEL MONTE VERDE, Rome

The hotel is located in a residential area about 30 minutes by public transport from the historic centre. Tram 8, which stops directly around the corner, runs frequently to Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum area, while bus H takes about 25 minutes to reach the Vatican. Roma Trastevere Train Station is 2 km away, offering direct trains to Fiumicino Airport - take the train to Trastevere then bus 8 or H for three stops. The airport itself is 21 km from the hotel. Several restaurants and cafés, including Ristorante Simpatico and Pizzeria La Gianicolense, are within a 5-10 minute walk, and a small supermarket is opposite the hotel. A taxi to the airport costs around €55-65, though card-only payment should be confirmed in advance.

The breakfast buffet runs daily and includes a range of sweet pastries (croissants, buns), sliced bread and toast, butter, jam, Nutella, cold cuts, cheese, boiled eggs, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, and excellent Italian coffee (espresso and cappuccino). Gluten-free options are also available. The breakfast room can get busy, and some items like bread or pastries may not be immediately replenished, so arriving earlier can ensure the best selection. For guests departing early for excursions, the staff can prepare a lunch box upon request. A Nespresso machine is available at breakfast for an extra coffee option. The surrounding Monteverde neighbourhood offers a variety of restaurants and pizzerias within a short walk for evening meals.

Wellness and leisure amenities are not available on site. The property focuses on providing comfortable, air-conditioned accommodation with a solid breakfast and good public transport links to explore Rome. The Monteverde district itself is peaceful and has several cafés and restaurants, plus the Porta Portese Sunday market is reachable via tram 8 in about 15 minutes.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas, though its reliability can vary by room. The reception staff speak English, Spanish, and Italian, and are helpful with restaurant recommendations and transport advice. Luggage storage is offered free of charge before check-in and after check-out. Daily housekeeping includes towel changes and making the beds, with linen changed every three days. The hotel provides a safety deposit box in the room, but this may not be present in all rooms - it is advisable to confirm upon arrival. Other practical services include an iron available from reception, and staff can arrange a taxi or provide directions. The property is fitted with CCTV in common areas, fire extinguishers, and a safe (key-based). Electrical outlets can be limited, and the air conditioning system requires the card key to be left in the slot to keep power running when the room is occupied.
