HOSTEL WARMOES AMSTERDAM, Amsterdam

The hostel sits on a lively street at the core of the nightlife and entertainment area, surrounded by bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. Amsterdam Central Station is 500 metres away, providing direct rail access to Schiphol Airport (18 km) and the rest of the city. The Basilica of St. Nicholas is a 3-minute walk, and the Anne Frank House, Rembrandt House, and Dam Square are all easily reached on foot. The area is busy day and night, so street noise is constant. The closest paid parking is a public garage (QPARK) about 3 minutes' walk away.

Rooms are compact and functional, with a maximum of 10 beds. Each room has its own bathroom with a shower (rainfall and hand-held heads) and toilet, but the space is tight and the toilet is sound-adjacent. Private bathrooms are standard in all dormitory categories. Beds are twin-sized bunk beds with a mattress 2 metres long. Each bunk has one standard EU power socket and a lockable metal cage underneath (bring your own padlock or buy one for €7). The property has no air conditioning; rooms have heating and openable windows. Noise from the street, the church bells, and other occupants is common, and rooms can feel stuffy and warm in summer. Single-night bookings are possible, and groups with one person aged 18+ can book a private 8-person room.

The hostel's restaurant, Crepes&Waffles, is open from 09:00 until 01:00 (until 03:00 on Fridays and Saturdays) and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast, at a cost of €7, consists of fresh pastries and cheese. The vending machine offers snacks and drinks (cash only). The central location also places dozens of restaurants, bars, and cafés within a 3-minute walk, including options such as Indian, burgers, Irish pub, and creperies.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk provides key card and key access, 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas, and a security alarm. Daily housekeeping is included. Free lockers (under the bed, bring your own padlock or buy one for €7) are provided. Luggage storage is available before check-in (14:00) and after check-out (11:00) at no extra charge. The reception also has a microwave and kettle. Towels are rented for €3.50 each; bed linens are free. The property accepts American Express, Visa, Maestro, Bankcard, and MasterCard.
