HOTEL NEPTUNE PLACE D'ITALIE, Paris

The hotel sits in a safe, lively neighbourhood on a quieter side street, yet is only a two-minute walk from Place d'Italie station (metro lines 5, 6, and 7). The Latin Quarter is 1 km away, Jardin des Plantes is 2 km, and Accor Arena is 2 km from the property. For those heading to Gare de Lyon, the metro takes four stops; Gare d'Austerlitz is a 30-40 minute walk. Numerous restaurants, cafés, shops, and a supermarket are within a 300-metre radius. For airport connections, the metro provides a direct link to Orly, and several bus routes stop nearby. Parking is not available on-site, but a private parking garage can be booked in advance.

All rooms include heating, a flat-screen TV, AM/FM alarm clock, telephone, and a private bathroom with a shower. Some rooms have carpeted floors. The rooms are described as small and basic, with limited storage and no in-room refrigerator or kettle (kettles can be requested at reception). There is no air conditioning; portable fans are available. Rooms facing the street or a nearby kindergarten can be noisy during the day, and corridor noise can carry due to the building's acoustics. Lighting and décor are simple and functional. For those prioritising a comfortable sleep and a good location over extra space, the rooms are adequate.

Breakfast includes a hot drink, orange juice, bread, a croissant, and small portions of butter, jam, and spreads such as Nutella or cream cheese. It is served in a small breakfast room or can be enjoyed in the guestroom. The breakfast is a simple, no-frills offering; there is no hot food or buffet variety. For a more expansive meal, numerous cafés, bakeries, and restaurants are within a few minutes' walk. Dinner is not available at the hotel, but the surrounding area has a wide choice of restaurants and takeaway options, including Thai, Indian, Italian, crêperies, and fast food, all within 300 metres.

The hotel has no dedicated wellness or leisure facilities. The reception can help arrange local tour operators and guided tours if requested. For relaxation, guests can use the hotel lounge, which features wooden panelling and leather armchairs. The immediate area offers plenty of cafés, cinemas, and parks (Jardin des Plantes is 2 km away) for leisure activities outside the property.
