HOTEL OPERA D'ANTIN, Paris

The hotel sits on a quiet side street just behind the Galeries Lafayette department store, placing you in the heart of the 9th arrondissement's shopping and cultural district. Opéra Garnier is a 5-minute walk, and the Louvre is within a 20-25 minute stroll. Multiple metro lines (Chaussée d'Antin, Havre Caumartin, Opéra) and RER stations (Auber, Haussmann-Saint-Lazare) are close by, making it easy to reach Gare du Nord (Eurostar) in about 10 minutes by bus. The Roissybus from CDG stops near the hotel, and the area is well served by taxis and Ubers. While the street itself can feel dark and service-oriented, the surrounding neighborhood is lively and safe, with many cafés and restaurants within a few minutes' walk.

Rooms are generally compact, especially standard doubles where luggage can take up floor space. Some rooms have twin beds, and a few Confort rooms include an electric kettle. All rooms feature a safe (no minibar), a wardrobe, heating, and soundproof walls. Bathrooms vary: many have modern walk-in showers with good water pressure, while some include a bathtub. A few rooms on the first floor have external staircases and no view; these offer quieter conditions away from corridor noise. The hotel's newer renovations feature heated towel rails, quality hairdryers, and backlit mirrors. Windows are double-glazed, keeping street noise low. Suites are available and are notably spacious.

The breakfast buffet includes breads, pastries, yogurt, omelettes, charcuterie, and hot drinks. It is available for an additional charge of 15 EUR. The breakfast room has a glass ceiling, creating a bright start to the day. Bar Klimt, decorated in 1930s style, is open around the clock for drinks. The hotel also offers in-room breakfast for an extra fee. Several restaurants and cafés are within a few minutes' walk, including Asian options and bistros. The bar shares staff with reception, so service can be slow when the front desk is busy.

The hotel does not have a fitness centre, spa, pool, or dedicated leisure area. Guests looking to unwind can use the shared lounge and TV area or visit Bar Klimt for a drink. The property's main leisure asset is its location: major sights like the Louvre, Opéra Garnier, and shopping at Galeries Lafayette and Printemps are all within walking distance. The hotel can arrange for airport transfers and help with tickets for nearby attractions.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a 24-hour front desk with concierge service, and express check-in/out. Luggage storage is available for 24 hours at no cost. Daily housekeeping is included, with laundry and dry cleaning available for an additional charge. A paid airport shuttle (65€ from CDG, 85€ to CDG) must be booked at least 24 hours ahead. The property has a lift, though it is small. An iron and ironing board can be borrowed from reception. The hotel is non-smoking throughout, and no pets are allowed. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, MasterCard, JCB, and UnionPay.
