HOTEL ORSARIA, Venice

The location is ideal for travellers arriving by train-the station is within a 2-4 minute walk on flat ground, avoiding bridges or long canal-side hauls with luggage. The airport bus from Marco Polo Airport stops at Piazzale Roma, a short 7-minute walk away. The Grand Canal, water-bus (vaporetto) stops, and the main shopping streets are all within easy reach on foot. Despite the central location, rooms facing internal courtyards are quiet. Numerous restaurants, cafés, and souvenir shops are within 0.5 km. The area feels lively but safe, making it suitable for solo travellers as well.

The rooms are described as spacious and bright. Standard amenities include air conditioning, heating, a private bathroom with shower, bidet, hairdryer, and free toiletries. The twin/double rooms also include a wardrobe and parquet flooring. Some rooms are decorated with authentic 18th-century Venetian furnishings, adding charm. A compact safe and electric kettle are provided. Street-facing rooms can be noisy in the evening, so request a courtyard-facing room for better sleep. The property is an older building with no lift; quad rooms are on the second floor. Rooms with bathtubs cannot be guaranteed.

The breakfast buffet offers a continental range with breads, pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruit, eggs, bacon, and a choice of hot drinks including fresh cappuccino. The buffet is considered very good and generous, and the staff will prepare a takeaway breakfast for early departures. The dining area is limited in size, so seating can be tight during peak times. In-room breakfast is also available on request. Numerous restaurants and pizzerias are within a 2-minute walk along the main streets. Vegan options are limited; it is advisable to communicate dietary needs in advance.

Leisure facilities are not present on-site. Guests use the location as a base for exploring Venice on foot, by water bus, or by gondola. The hotel's tour desk can arrange guided tours and activities, and the concierge provides recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing.

Wi-Fi is free and accessible in the rooms. A 24-hour front desk allows late check-in and early assistance. Luggage storage is free and very useful for guests arriving before check-in or departing after checkout. Daily housekeeping is provided at no extra charge. Safety deposit boxes are available in rooms, and security features include CCTV, smoke alarms, and key-card access. Business facilities include fax/photocopying. Pets are allowed by request with no extra charge. Contactless key check-in is offered, but physical check-in requires visiting the partner reception across the alley. No on-site parking is available.
