It is within walking distance of the US pedestrian border crossing (though the walkway area is best avoided after dark), and Costco Wholesale Centre is just across the road. The main financial district and various shopping centres are a five-minute drive away. Abelardo L Rodriguez Airport is 6 km away, San Diego is 23 km away, and Rosarito is 22 km away. Several restaurants and fast-food outlets including Mariscos Machatlan, La Justina, McDonald's, and Los Panchos Taco Shop are within 0.5 km. The location is well-suited for business conferences and for day trips to San Diego, though the immediate side streets can feel darker at night.

All rooms are modern, air-conditioned, and non-smoking with carpeted floors, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, an AM/FM alarm clock, a safe deposit box, and free toiletries. Private bathrooms with showers are standard; note that a few rooms have the TV positioned at an angle rather than facing the bed. Rooms are generally spacious-particularly the two-bed and triple configurations-and the hotel offers double rooms with one or two beds, triple rooms with two beds, and quadruple rooms with three beds. Executive twin rooms have queen-size beds. Connecting rooms are available subject to availability. Many rooms have been refreshed with modern decor, and some feature Frida Kahlo-themed decor (request these at booking). The property has a lift.
