HOTEL OTAR, Prague

The hotel sits on a quiet, residential street yet is only a 3-minute walk from the metro (line C) and tram stops. Wenceslas Square is a 5-minute metro ride away, and Prague Main Station is reachable in 8 minutes via the same line. A big shopping mall (Arkady) is a 10-minute walk north, and several restaurants, a Chinese restaurant, and a supermarket are within a few hundred metres. The area feels more like a business district than a tourist zone, which keeps nights very quiet. Taxis and Ubers may not always enter the street; it is more practical to be dropped off on the main avenue. For car-free visitors, the combination of metro and tram provides fast, cheap access to all central landmarks.

There is no restaurant or dining area at Hotel Otar itself. Breakfast is taken at the partner hotel, Hotel OYA (400 m away). The buffet is described as modest: bread, pastries, hot drinks, and sometimes a limited hot selection. The cost of breakfast is not included in the base rate and is charged separately. In the evening, guests can enjoy a 10% discount at Harry's Restaurant (at Hotel OYA, 400 m), which serves Czech dishes with a modern twist and draught beer. For self-catering, an electric kettle and (in most rooms) a refrigerator are available, and several nearby restaurants - including Yam Yam, KFC, Hamy's Kitchen, and a Chinese restaurant - are within walking distance. The shopping mall also has food options.

There is no pool, spa, gym, sauna, or other leisure facility at Hotel Otar or its partner Hotel OYA. The hotel is best suited as a practical base for exploring Prague by public transport rather than for an on-site wellness stay. The quiet residential location and surrounding park areas offer pleasant walking opportunities, and the nearby shopping mall contains a fitness centre.

The hotel provides free Wi-Fi throughout, a lift, and designated smoking areas. Daily housekeeping is included at no extra cost. Luggage storage is also free. For business guests, fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet facilities are available (the latter for an additional charge). The front desk at Hotel OYA offers concierge and tour desk services, and invoices are provided.
