The hotel sits on a main thoroughfare in the City West district, directly at the U3 line stop Augsburger Strasse. Kurfürstendamm's shops, restaurants, and the KaDeWe department store are within a 5-10 minute walk. Berlin Zoologischer Garten station is 15 minutes away on foot, providing regional and S-Bahn links. The area has a Netto supermarket directly across the street and numerous restaurants (Sale e pepe, Toro Negro, Bleibergs Cafe) within 300 metres. The neighbourhood is well-connected, safe and convenient for sightseeing, though street-facing rooms experience traffic noise during the day.

Accommodation is spread across two converted pre-war apartments, retaining high ceilings (up to 3.5 metres) and parquet floors. All rooms include a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Each room has a wardrobe, ironing facilities, an in-room safe, and a socket near the bed. The overall furnishing is dated, with older furniture and worn flooring in some units. Rooms facing the street can be noisy due to traffic; courtyard-facing rooms are quieter. Noise insulation between rooms is limited: sound travels easily from neighbouring rooms. Beds are generally comfortable, though some mattresses are soft or have visible sagging. The room temperature can be regulated individually; no air conditioning is available, so windows need to be opened for cooling.

Breakfast is served in a cosy dining room and includes freshly baked bread rolls, butter, jam, cold cuts, cheese, boiled eggs, sausages, coffee, and juice. The selection is simple but sufficient for a city-break start to the day. During certain periods (such as the coronavirus restrictions), the buffet format was replaced by a kettle and utensils for self-service. The breakfast room can feel crowded during peak hours due to its compact size. Several restaurants - including Italian (Sale e pepe, La Petite France), Turkish (Toro Negro), and Asian (Meishiwu Deli House) - are within a 3-minute walk, offering dinner alternatives.
