KURFUERST AM KURFUERSTENDAMM, Berlin

The hotel sits directly off the Ku'damm, Berlin's premier shopping street, surrounded by restaurants and bars. Savignyplatz with its many dining options is a 5-minute walk away. A bus stop right outside provides direct service to Tegel Airport and Checkpoint Charlie. The S-Bahn station at Savignyplatz (5 min walk) connects to Berlin Central Station and Friedrichstraße. Despite being on a busy boulevard, rooms facing the courtyard are quiet. The area is well-connected by public transport, making it easy to explore the city without a car.

Rooms are spacious with high ceilings and large windows, offering a classic Berlin character. Furnishings are traditional but can be dated. All rooms have heating and a minibar; some include a seating area. There is no air conditioning, but electric fans are available. Rooms at the rear (courtyard) are significantly quieter than those facing the street. Carpeted floors and solid mattresses are standard; pillows vary. Private bathrooms are either en suite or located directly across the hall (1.5 metres). Daily housekeeping is provided.

The hotel provides a free internet terminal in the lobby. Luggage storage is available free of charge, useful for late departures. Express check-in and check-out streamline the process. A vending machine offers drinks. Safety deposit boxes are free. Pets are allowed on request (charges apply). The lift serves most floors but not the 5th. Reception hours correspond to check-in times (14:00-21:00), but late arrivals can use a key safe with prior notice. Cleaning is daily. Accepted payment methods include major credit cards and EC-Card.
