HOTEL PRINCIPI D'ACAJA, Turin

The hotel occupies a beautiful early-20th-century villa in the Liberty-style Cit Turin area, one of Turin's most attractive neighbourhoods. The metro stop (80 m away) connects to Porta Nuova station in 10 minutes, while Porta Susa station is a 5-10 minute walk - ideal for train travellers. The historic centre, including Piazza San Carlo and the main shopping streets, is about 15 minutes on foot. Tram lines and the n13 bus stop within a minute's walk, making car-free exploration easy. The immediate surroundings offer numerous restaurants, cafés, and shops.

Accommodation varies: rooms are generally large and clean, with comfortable beds, air conditioning, heating, a minibar, flat-screen satellite TV, and a private bathroom with shower or bath. Many rooms open onto generous terraces. The decor preserves the turn-of-the-century character - wooden floors, high ceilings, and period details. Inner courtyard-facing rooms are notably quieter, while street-facing rooms may pick up traffic noise due to the lack of double glazing. A few rooms have smaller bathrooms and basic fitments; the overall condition is well-maintained but shows some age in carpets and fixtures. A refrigerator and desk are provided in every room.

The breakfast buffet costs an additional €4 and includes continental and Italian items: pastries, bread, butter, jam, yogurt, cereal, cold cuts, cheese, and freshly brewed coffee or cappuccino. The breakfast room is elegant, with a piano and high ceilings. The selection is adequate rather than extensive - a straightforward start to the day. A bar is available for drinks at other times. Several nearby restaurants and pizzerias are within a 2-5 minute walk for lunch or dinner.

Wellness and leisure facilities are limited. The garden offers a pleasant outdoor space for relaxing, and the ground-floor lounge (used for breakfast) can be used for reading or waiting. There is no fitness centre, spa, swimming pool, or sauna on site. For leisure, the hotel's central location gives easy access to Turin's cultural attractions, parks, and shopping districts.
