HOTEL STANDARD DESIGN, Paris

The hotel is situated on Rue de la Roquette, a vibrant street lined with cafes, bars, and shops. Gare de Lyon is a 15-minute walk, making it convenient for train travelers. Bastille metro station (lines 1, 5, and 8) is a 4-5 minute walk, providing direct access to major attractions and the shuttle bus to Paris-Beauvais Airport. The area is known for its lively nightlife, with many restaurants and bars staying open late, but the hotel offers double-glazed windows that effectively block street noise when closed. The neighborhood offers a local Parisian vibe with a mix of tourists and residents.

Accommodations range from small singles to more spacious doubles and twins. Some rooms are notably cramped, making it difficult to open two large suitcases at once. Room size can vary considerably, so it is worth requesting a larger room if available. All rooms include air conditioning (when activated), heating, a flat-screen TV, a safety deposit box, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. Some rooms feature a bathtub with a handheld shower (no shower curtain), while others have a walk-in shower. Noise insulation between rooms is limited, and hallway sounds can be audible. Rooms facing the street may hear church bells and evening chatter. The decor is modern and clean, though some wear and tear (scratched walls, aging bathroom sealant) has been noted.
