HOTEL VERLAINE, Paris

The hotel is a short walk from Place d'Italie, where three metro lines connect directly to the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and central attractions. AccorHotels Arena is 2 km away, and the Latin Quarter is within a 15-20 minute walk. The area is pedestrian-friendly, with numerous restaurants, cafés, and a boulangerie on the corner. For airport transfers, a taxi from Orly costs approximately €42 and arrives within 3-5 minutes of booking. The neighbourhood is calm and very safe, ideal for exploring on foot without mass tourism.

Accommodation is spread over three floors with no lift, so those with heavy luggage should request a lower floor. Rooms feature a private bathroom with bath or shower, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and no air conditioning or kettle. Some rooms offer garden or city views, and certain street-facing rooms have French windows that open fully. No rooms have a balcony. The decor is tasteful and homey, with comfortable beds and good shower pressure. Room sizes are notably spacious for the price range in Paris, and windows seal tightly for a quiet sleep.

Breakfast is a classic French spread with fresh bread, pastries, butter, jam, and hot drinks. It is available daily but not included in room rates. Coffee and tea are complimentary all day from reception, and plates and cutlery can be taken to the room. There is no restaurant or bar on site, but the surrounding area is filled with bistros, crêperies, and restaurants within a 0.5 km radius, many offering authentic Parisian dining away from tourist crowds.

The front desk is open from 07:00 to 23:30, with the manager Élodie offering exceptional personal service, including early check-in refresh and late checkout flexibility. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Paid express check-in/out and a free concierge service help with local recommendations. Luggage storage allows exploration before check-in or after check-out. Safety features include 24-hour security, fire extinguishers, and smoke alarms. Pets are allowed on request at no extra charge. The hotel provides an invoice for business travellers.
