The hotel sits directly at the entrance of Denfert-Rochereau Metro and RER station, where lines 4 and 6 of the metro connect to central sights such as Notre-Dame, the Eiffel Tower and Montparnasse station. The RER B line provides non-stop rail service from Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports to within one minute's walk of the hotel. The surrounding area is safe and lively, with Rue Daguerre's pedestrian market street immediately opposite offering supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and fruit vendors. Many independent shops, cafes and bars are within 300 metres along Rue Daguerre and the neighbouring streets. The Catacombs of Paris are directly across the square. Several bus stops outside the hotel give alternative routes across the city. The neighbourhood is well suited to walking to the Île de la Cité in about 30-40 minutes.

All rooms are accessible by the lift from the first-floor reception and those on upper floors overlook Paris, with some offering clear views of the Eiffel Tower or Montparnasse Tower. Rooms designated as 'Parisienne' include air conditioning and a balcony, while standard rooms provide a fan and heating - this is an important difference to check when booking for warm weather. Double rooms may have either a bath or a shower based on the specific room type. All rooms are soundproofed and those on higher floors (6th-8th) are consistently described as very quiet despite the main road location. Some rooms are compact, particularly single rooms where the shower cubicle may be small; bed comfort and cleanliness are generally well regarded. There is no kettle or minibar in the rooms, though a kettle can be requested from reception and the shared kitchen fridge is available for food storage. Twin rooms with two single beds are available.

Breakfast is available every day from 07:00 to 09:30. It is served as a buffet in the breakfast room or can be taken in the room upon request. The spread typically includes bread, pastries, butter, jam, cheese, yogurt, cereal, madeleines, juice and a hot drink. The hotel has no restaurant, bar or evening meal service, but the surrounding Rue Daguerre and Place Denfert-Rochereau are filled with bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants of all budgets. Cafe Daguerre opposite is open until 02:00, useful for drinks or a light meal in the evening. The hotel does not provide complementary tea or coffee in rooms, but hot water can be obtained from reception at any time. A vending machine for drinks is available on site.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas and works reliably in most rooms, although a few lower-floor rooms may have a weak signal. The 24-hour front desk allows check-in at any time of night and the staff can help with luggage storage before check-in or after check-out at no cost.
