HOTEL VILLA BERLIOZ, Lyon

The hotel sits on a street lined with restaurants and bars, a 10-minute walk from the Confluence shopping centre. Perrache station provides direct TGV, metro, and tram connections, including line T1 to Part-Dieu and the airport via Rhônexpress. A taxi rank and car rental are steps away. Covered public parking (QPark) is 150m from the hotel. The surrounding area is lively but can be noisy at night; rooms facing the street may experience traffic and bar sounds.

Double and single rooms include a desk, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, wardrobe, hairdryer, and soundproof walls. Some rooms have a dressing area and garden views, while single rooms overlook the city. Room sizes are small, particularly the single category, with limited luggage space and no dedicated seating in some. Soundproofing varies; rooms adjacent to the lift or street can be noisier. The lift is very small, and guests on upper floors may prefer stairs. Cleanliness is generally maintained, though occasional odours from plumbing have been reported. Air conditioning is standard; heating is available.

The buffet includes bread, pastries, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, hot drinks, and occasionally hot items. In-room breakfast is also available. The breakfast is adequate for a 3-star hotel, though selection is basic. The hotel has a bar for drinks. For other meals, numerous restaurants are within a short walk, including pizzerias, cafes, and brasseries. Note that breakfast is not included in the room rate, and the city tax of €1.65 per person per night applies. A second breakfast is €13.50.

The rear garden provides a quiet spot with seating, but there is no swimming pool, fitness centre, or spa. The shared lounge/TV area offers indoor relaxation. For leisure, the Confluence shopping and entertainment district is a 10-minute walk away. The terrace and garden are available for use during daylight hours.
