HYATT PLACE CORPUS CHRISTI, Gardendale

The hotel sits directly off the freeway on South Padre Island Drive (SPID), providing quick access to the city and surrounding areas. Texas State Aquarium is 23 km away, and Upper Padre Island is 21 km. Several dining options are within a short walk, including Saltgrass Steak House, Whataburger, Taco Bell, and Applebee's. The location is convenient for business and exploring, but rooms facing the freeway may experience road noise.

All rooms include a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, free toiletries, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, mini fridge, tea/coffee maker, ironing facilities, air conditioning, and heating. The sofa bed provides extra sleeping space, making the rooms suitable for families of up to 5-6 people. Some units have a seating area with a desk. Note that rooms have no special views or balconies. While generally spacious, cleanliness and maintenance are recurring concerns; some rooms have water-damaged bathroom doors, mold, peeling wallpaper, noisy AC units, and sticky or dirty beds. Road-facing rooms are especially noisy. A microwave is available in the lobby area but not in rooms.

Free private parking is available on site without reservation, including accessible parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Wi-Fi is free in all areas. Other services include luggage storage, dry cleaning (charge), laundry (charge), a business centre, fax/photocopying (free), meeting/banquet facilities (charge), and a 24-hour front desk. Safety features include CCTV, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, key card access, and safety deposit box. Reception hours are 24/7. The property also offers board games and a shared lounge/TV area. There is no spa or restaurant on site.
