IBIS HOTEL BERLIN AIRPORT, Berlin

The hotel sits directly across from Grünbergallee station (S9 line), offering frequent trains to both Berlin Brandenburg Airport (5-7 minutes) and central Berlin (Alexanderplatz in roughly 40 minutes). The nearby Grünbergallee also provides easy access to the A113 motorway, making car travel efficient. Within walking distance are supermarkets (Edeka, Aldi), a gas station, and a home improvement store. The East Side Gallery is 18 km away, Alexanderplatz 20 km, and the Berlin TV Tower 21 km - all reachable by S-Bahn without changing trains. Parking is available on-site for 15 EUR per day.

Rooms include double rooms (one bed) and twin rooms (two beds), all with private bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. Each room has air conditioning, soundproof walls, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and heating. The spacious double room adds a walk-in shower. While soundproofing is effective, some rooms facing the road may experience traffic noise - requesting a quieter room is recommended. The hotel is brand new, so furnishings are in excellent condition. There is no in-room refrigerator or microwave; vending machines with drinks and frozen meals are available in the lobby. Family rooms are available and can accommodate children with baby safety gates, board games, and cots.

The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety: warm items (scrambled eggs, sausages), fresh pastries, pancakes, cheese, fruits, juice, and coffee. Special diet menus can be arranged on request. The hotel also has a bar, a coffee house on site, and a snack bar. Vending machines provide drinks and frozen meals with a microwave for reheating. Packed lunches are available for early departures. There is a small restaurant on the premises with a limited but reasonably priced menu. For those wanting more options, several supermarkets and a traditional German pub are within a short walk.

The hotel offers free WiFi throughout, a 24-hour front desk with concierge service, and express self-check-in/out kiosks. Luggage storage and lockers are available free of charge. Daily housekeeping is included. Safety deposit boxes, CCTV, and 24-hour security ensure a secure stay. Accessibility features include wheelchair-accessible rooms with grab rails, raised toilet, lower sink, and an emergency cord. Family amenities include baby safety gates, board games, and cots. Pets are allowed (charges may apply). The property is non-smoking throughout, with a designated smoking area. A minimarket, vending machines, and a shared lounge/TV area add convenience. Electric vehicle charging is available on-site.
