LIFT HOTEL, Montreal

The hotel is a short walk from Place Jacques Cartier, the Museum of Contemporary Art (18 minutes), and the Eaton Centre (3 km). Berri-UQAM metro station is about 10 minutes on foot, providing direct links to the 747 airport shuttle bus stop. The surrounding streets are filled with restaurants, bakeries, and local shops. The area is best explored on foot or by public transit, as finding on-street parking is very difficult. A paid indoor parking garage is located about 200 metres away at 330 Champ de Mars Street.

Room types include double and triple rooms, each with a private bathroom and city or garden views. Amenities are kept to a minimum: no wardrobe (only a couple of hangers), no chair or table, no coffee/tea maker, no mini-fridge, and no safe. Luggage must be placed on the floor. The beds are consistently described as comfortable, with good-quality pillows and linens. Bathrooms are renovated and spacious relative to the room. Windows do not open, and room temperature is controlled by an in-room AC/heater. Noise can carry though the thin walls and from the stairwell. Some rooms have uneven floors or steep floors, and doors may not seal completely. Light sleepers should request a room away from active areas.

No breakfast is offered at the property. During weekdays, a nearby coffee shop opens early for coffee and pastries; on weekends, coffee may not be available until mid-morning. The surrounding area has many dining options: Modavie, Le Club Chasse Et Peche, and Salumi Vino are within a five-minute walk. 7 Grains Bakery and Cafe is just 0.5 km away. Guests planning a morning meal should budget time to walk to a nearby café or restaurant.

There is no pool, spa, gym, sauna, or games room. The hotel's location allows easy access to the Old Port of Montreal (1 km) where seasonal ice skating and boating are available.
