LOCANDA CAVANELLA, Venice

Locanda Cavanella sits on a quiet street off the main tourist flow, yet Saint Mark's Square is reachable in about 5 minutes on foot. The vaporetto water-bus stop (St. Mark's) is roughly 10 minutes away across bridges and steps - note that the route involves stairs, so it is not fully accessible for those with mobility difficulties. Surrounding alleys are filled with restaurants, bars, and shops, including Trattoria Pizzeria da Roberto and Ristorante Antica Sacrestia within 300 metres. The location makes all major sights - Basilica, Doge's Palace, Rialto Bridge - walkable without needing water transport.

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the property, though some users report the connection can be intermittent in rooms further from the router. Luggage storage is provided at the front desk (not a locked room); staff are present during daytime hours. A self check-in system is in place - a code is provided before arrival. The entrance door can be stiff to open; the front door sometimes does not close securely, which may carry noise from the street. Cleaning is done daily, but may leave cleaning cloths if room is still being serviced. There is no lift: the property is on an upper floor accessible only by stairs, making it unsuitable for those with mobility issues. Accepted payment methods include Visa, Maestro, CartaSi, and MasterCard.
