The property occupies a quiet cul-de-sac off a busy area on the South Bank, giving easy pedestrian access to St Paul's Cathedral (across the Millennium Bridge, under 1 km), Tower Bridge (2 km), and the Globe Theatre. London Bridge station is a 13-minute walk, and Southwark tube is about 10 minutes. Several bus lines run along the nearby main roads. The area offers a wide selection of restaurants and cafés within a 5-minute walk, including chains and casual dining. London City Airport is 12 km away; for airport transfers, use the tube or train from London Bridge or Blackfriars stations.

Double, twin, triple, and quad rooms are generally en-suite with a shower and free toiletries. Single rooms may share a bathroom with one other room. Rooms include a work desk, tea/coffee making facilities, an electric kettle, and a wardrobe. There is no television in rooms. The age and condition of furnishings vary widely: some rooms have stained carpets, peeling paint, or damaged wardrobes, while others are reported as clean and tidy. Noise from corridors and adjacent rooms can be significant, particularly at night. Road-facing and ground-floor rooms near waste storage are subject to external noise. The restaurant itself serves breakfast only; there is also an on-site bar. During peak periods the dining room can become crowded, with queues forming after 08:00. The breakfast offering is generally well-regarded, though cooked items such as fried eggs can sometimes be inconsistent. For a smoother experience, arrive early. Those with dietary restrictions will find suitable choices.

There is no swimming pool, spa, or gym on site. The only leisure amenity is a billiards table located in a common area. The surrounding South Bank area provides extensive recreational options, including walks along the Thames, visits to Tate Modern (directly opposite), and access to numerous cultural venues.
