MARCELINA VATICANS ROOMS, Rome

The property is in the real heart of Rome, in the elegant Prati neighbourhood. Lepanto Metro station is a 3-minute walk away, Ottaviano station is 800 metres, and both provide direct links to the historic centre, Termini station, and Rome's main rail and airport connections. Castel Sant'Angelo is less than 1 km on foot, and the Vatican Museums are a 14-minute walk. The area is safe and well-supplied with restaurants, cafés, gelaterias, and shops - all within a few hundred metres. Parking is not available, but the location works well for walking and public transport. Rome Ciampino Airport is 17 km away; using the metro and a train is the most practical option.

Rooms are double units with one bed, a private bathroom (shower, hairdryer), air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, and a refrigerator. Some rooms have a private entrance and an inner courtyard view. The accommodation is compact - better suited for two people for short stays than for extended comfort. Some ground-floor rooms receive limited natural light and can feel dark. Housekeeping is provided daily. The building's historic structure means soundproofing is modest; rooms are generally quiet given the area's calmness. The lack of a balcony or kitchenette means the room is best treated as a sleeping base for exploring the city.

A coffee shop is available on site for hot drinks and light refreshments. There is no restaurant or bar. The immediate surroundings in Prati offer a wide choice of restaurants - including Taberna de' Gracchi, Su & Giu Cucina Romana, and Mastrogusto - all within 0.5 km. For self-catering, the in-room refrigerator is useful for storing drinks and snacks. Breakfast is not served by the property, but several cafés and bakeries nearby serve morning meals.
