MAYFAIR INN AND SUITES, New York

The immediate area includes Queensbridge Houses, a housing project with a reputation for a gritty urban feel, but the hotel sits near practical transport. The 21st Street Queensbridge subway station (F line) is a 5-minute walk, offering direct service to Manhattan and other boroughs. LaGuardia Airport is 6 km away; public transit to JFK takes about 1 hour 15 minutes, and to the Carnival Cruise Port about 30 minutes. The neighborhood is walkable to basic services, though the surrounding streets can feel unsafe late at night. A handful of dining options are within 500 metres, including Big New York Fried Chicken & Pizza, House of Thai, and Niforos Corner. Citi Field and Arthur Ashe Stadium are both 8 km from the property.

All rooms are compact and functional, with confirmed features including air conditioning, a private entrance, a flat-screen TV, free toiletries, a tumble dryer, and soundproof walls with quiet street views. However, rooms lack storage: no wardrobes, hangers (available on request), drawers, or side tables, so luggage and clothes must remain in suitcases. Some rooms have a sitting area; a few double rooms offer one or two beds. No refrigerators or balconies are available. The compact size makes them suitable only for short stays or travelers who plan to spend limited time indoors. Bathrooms are basic with a shower curtain; no hairdryer is provided (can be requested at reception).

The hotel does not provide breakfast, nor does it have an on-site restaurant, bar, or café. A vending machine in the lobby supplies drinks and snacks. For meals, several dining options are within a short walk-Big New York Fried Chicken & Pizza, House of Thai, and Niforos Corner are all around 500 metres away. Guests seeking a fuller breakfast or dinner should plan to eat outside the property. There are no cooking facilities or refrigerators in the rooms.
