HOTEL MERITUM, Prague

The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood on the northern outskirts of Prague, 5 km from the airport - about a 10-minute drive or taxi ride. The nearest bus stop (Staré náměstí) is 150 metres from the hotel, served by line 225, which connects to the Nádraží Veleslavín Metro Station within 12 minutes. An airport bus route (line 119) requires a change at Divoká Šárka. For car users, free private parking is available on site without reservation. Taxis to the airport cost approximately 15 EUR. Public transport to the city centre takes about 45 minutes via tram and bus. The area is walkable to a local restaurant (Restaurace U Cechu, 1 km) but has limited dining options within easy walking distance.

All rooms are en-suite with a shower, toilet, sink, and private bathroom. Amenities include a flat-screen TV, refrigerator, telephone, AM/FM alarm clock, and heating. Rooms have carpeted floors and a sitting area. The property has a lift and rooms are wheelchair accessible. There is no air conditioning, which can make rooms uncomfortably hot in summer. Windows can be opened but this increases aircraft noise from the nearby airport. Some rooms are on the first floor next to lifts and parking, which can be noisy. The accommodation is better suited to travellers prioritising location and practical amenities over modern decor.

Breakfast is served as a continental buffet from 07:00 to 09:00 in a dining room. The spread typically includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, hot sausages, eggs, cereal, fruit, jams, and a coffee machine. Guests with early departures can request a takeaway breakfast package. Breakfast quality is described as adequate - a varied selection but not extensive. There is no on-site restaurant, bar, or café for other meals, although guests have had food delivered to the room. The nearest dining option is Restaurace U Cechu, about 1 km away. For a wider choice, the city centre is accessible via public transport.

Outdoor areas include a garden and terrace. There are no swimming pool, spa, sauna, or fitness centre on site. For active leisure, cycling and hiking are available off site (free), and a golf course is within 3 km for an additional charge. The property is suitable for guests needing a practical overnight stay rather than leisure facilities.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. Free private parking is available on site without reservation, with a large well-lit car park for 40 cars/vans and 3 buses, monitored by CCTV. The reception is open 16:00-23:00; after 23:00 and before 06:00, access requires a phone call to the number on the main door. Luggage storage is free. Services include daily housekeeping (free), laundry and dry cleaning (chargeable), currency exchange, and meeting/banquet facilities for an additional fee. Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. The hotel has a lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities. Pets: small dogs only, charged at 12 EUR per night. No smoking throughout.
