Mehringdamm U-Bahn station is at the entrance, putting Checkpoint Charlie just 2 stops away and Potsdamer Platz a quick bus ride from the doorstep. The area is packed with restaurants, shops, and famous food spots like Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap within a 5-minute walk. Walking to central landmarks such as Brandenburg Gate takes about 25 minutes. The location is ideal for exploring on foot or by transit, though the busy street can be noisy both day and night, especially in rooms facing the road.

The hostel offers private single and double rooms with a TV and private bathroom, as well as dormitories with bathrooms either inside the room or shared. All rooms include secure lockers, heating, and free Wi-Fi. Linens and towels may incur an extra cash charge at check-in. Rooms facing the street are subject to traffic and nightlife noise, while internal courtyard rooms are noticeably quieter. Private rooms are often spacious, but furnishings and decor are very basic. The building is older, so sound insulation between rooms and corridors is poor. Some rooms lack power sockets near the bed, and bathroom drainage can be slow, leading to wet floors after a shower. No rooms have air conditioning, and windows may provide limited ventilation; rooms can become stuffy in summer.

The inclusive breakfast buffet runs from 07:00 to 10:00 and offers bread, cheese, meats, cereals, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free options are available upon request. The bar on site serves drinks and wine/champagne (additional charge) and is open for relaxing in the evening. The immediate area is famous for its vibrant food scene, with currywurst, döner kebab, pizza, and burger spots all within a few minutes' walk, making it easy to find a meal for any taste or budget.

The on-site bar offers a space to unwind with a drink, and the shared lounge/TV area provides a social setting for guests. Bicycle rental is available from the hostel, making it easy to explore Kreuzberg and beyond. A golf course is located within 3 km. There is no pool, spa, or gym on the property. The lively Mehringdamm area itself offers plenty of evening entertainment, including bars and a theatre in the same building.

Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the hostel. The 24-hour reception offers luggage storage, and early check-in or late check-out are often possible without additional cost. A paid airport shuttle (€40 one way) can be arranged. Other services include an ATM on site, fax/photocopying, packed lunches, meeting/banquet facilities, and a minimarket.
