MICROTEL INN & SUITES BY WYNDHAM JACKSONVILLE AIRPORT, Jacksonville

The hotel sits directly off I-95, providing quick highway access to downtown Jacksonville (20 km) and the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens (a 14-minute drive). The Mayo Clinic is 20-30 minutes by car. Despite the airport proximity, the surrounding area is quiet and well-lit. There are no restaurants, cafes, or shops within safe walking distance, so arriving with food or planning to drive for meals is recommended. The parking lot is spacious and secure, well-suited for extended park-and-fly stays. The property's location is primarily suited for travelers needing immediate airport access, overnight layovers, or early departures rather than city exploration.

Guest rooms are compact with modern decor, though the overall condition reflects the hotel's age and ongoing renovation. Common wear includes scuffed paint, worn carpets, and older bathroom fixtures. Air conditioning units can be noisy but generally effective. The rooms are not soundproof; noise from hallways and adjacent rooms can carry, especially on lower floors. Some travelers have found the rooms clean and comfortable for a short stay, while others have encountered cleanliness issues such as stained carpets, dusty surfaces, or residual odors. The bathrooms are private and include a bath or shower with a hairdryer. All rooms have tea/coffee facilities, ironing equipment, and a desk. A limited number of accessible rooms with roll-in showers are available. Note that there are no rooms with balconies or hot tubs; only one room type offers an in-room hot tub (the suite, if available).

Breakfast includes hot items such as waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausage, plus cold options like cereal, yogurt, bagels, fresh fruit (bananas, tangerines), oatmeal, juice, and coffee. For early departures before breakfast hours, the hotel offers a grab-and-go bag with yogurt, danish, and fresh fruit. Some travelers have noted that the breakfast offerings can be limited during busy periods and that the quality may vary. There is no restaurant on site for lunch or dinner, and no bar. Vending machines for snacks and drinks are available, but reliability is inconsistent. Guests are advised to bring their own meals or plan to drive to nearby restaurants.
