MOTEL 6 RALEIGH, NC - DOWNTOWN SOUTH, Raleigh

The motel sits off Interstate 40, providing easy car access to Raleigh's key points: North Carolina State University is 9 km away, Marbles Kids Museum 7 km, and 401 Par Golf Course a 5-minute drive. A 20-minute drive gets you to downtown Raleigh. Several restaurants are within walking distance, including a 24-hour Waffle & Pancake House (0.5 km) and Ragazzi's (0.5 km). The immediate area can feel sketchy, with reports of homeless individuals and loitering - the property is installing a fence. The location is highly convenient for quick stops or affordable stays near the highway.

Rooms are simple, with air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen cable TV, tea and coffee maker, ironing facilities, a wardrobe, and carpeted floors. Private bathrooms include a bath, shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Some rooms have three beds. The property is under renovation under new management, though some units still show signs of age: older metal beds (squeaky), limited lighting, and occasional maintenance issues. Cleanliness is reported as inconsistent - many find the rooms clean and well-priced, but a minority report cockroaches and dirty linen. For best results, request a room on the newly renovated floors.

The motel does not have a swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre. The nearest leisure facility is 401 Par Golf Course (5-minute drive). For a budget room-focused stay, plan leisure activities outside the property.
