MOTEL HOME WITTENAU BERLIN, Berlin

The property is located at the edge of an industrial estate, 10 km from the Natural History Museum and Memorial of the Berlin Wall. Berlin Central Station and Brandenburg Gate are also about 10 km away. The nearest U-Bahn station (U8 line) is a 10-15 minute walk, providing connections to Alexanderplatz in about 20 minutes. Berlin Brandenburg Airport is 38 km away. A Lidl supermarket is a 5-minute walk, and the Ernst Reuter Saal event venue is within walking distance. The surrounding area is quiet, especially at night, but the industrial setting means few dining options immediately nearby - planning meals or bringing supplies is recommended.

Rooms are newly renovated with practical, clean furnishings including a wardrobe, desk, and flat-screen TV with streaming services. All rooms have private bathrooms with shower and hairdryer; some bathrooms are compact while others are larger with grab rails. The Kingsize Room has a 180x200 cm bed, Deluxe Double Rooms a 140x200 cm bed, and family rooms sleep two adults plus children. Single and twin/double rooms are also available. High ceilings and large windows create a spacious feel, but light sleepers may want a room away from internal corridors as soundproofing between rooms is limited. In-room fridge, coffee machine, and electric kettle provided. Carpeted floors and heating; shower temperature can be inconsistent. The property's industrial furnishings and large windows give a distinctive but functional atmosphere.

The property does not serve breakfast or have a restaurant. Vending machines in the building offer drinks (coffee, beer, water) and snacks at reasonable prices. For more substantial meals, a Lidl supermarket is a 5-minute walk away, and there are a few bakeries and takeaway options within 10-15 minutes on foot. Guests staying multiple nights often rely on the room's refrigerator and shared kitchen to prepare simple meals. Planning ahead for meals is advisable, as the immediate area has limited dining choices.

Wellness and leisure facilities include a fitness room with basic equipment, a table tennis table, and a children's playground. The outdoor area features a garden with seating, a picnic area, BBQ facilities, and wooden gazebos, offering a pleasant spot to relax in good weather. Bicycle rental is available for exploring the surrounding area. Water sports and boating are possible in the vicinity, though the property itself is not directly on water. These amenities are modest but provide a useful break for families or longer stays.

Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Reception services include express check-in/out and luggage storage. A shared kitchen with microwave and basic equipment, and a minimarket on site. The property offers various accessibility features: wheelchair-accessible rooms, raised toilet, grab rails, lower bathroom sink, and a designated accessible parking space. Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and key-card access. Services such as late check-out (€15/hour after 12:00), bicycle rental (charged), and secure bike storage are available. Staff availability is limited after hours; check-in via keybox is possible for late arrivals. Some cleaning standards may vary; deep cleaning and odour control have been noted as inconsistent.
