MUELLNER SMART HOTEL WIEN I SELF CHECK-IN, Vienna

The hotel is in Oberdöbling, a residential area about 6 km from Vienna's main attractions and 23 km from the airport. The tram stop for line 38 is immediately outside, providing frequent connections to the city centre in about 25 minutes. The surroundings are quiet at night and considered safe, with supermarkets, McDonald's, and several restaurants within walking distance. The area is well-suited for those who prefer a calm base over central bustle. Street parking is free on weekends and after 21:00 on weekdays.

Room types include single, double, and triple rooms, all with a private bathroom, comfortable beds, and a flat-screen TV with streaming services. Each room has a tea and coffee maker, complimentary bottled water, and free toiletries. While many rooms are large and well-presented, the building is older and soundproofing is minimal - noise from neighbouring rooms, the street, and the downstairs restaurant can be an issue for light sleepers. No air conditioning is available; rooms rely on open windows for ventilation, which can let in street noise and insects during warmer months. Housekeeping is typically every three days, and some units have reported issues with dust and mould. Road-facing rooms are noisier; rooms facing an inner courtyard are generally quieter.

The hotel's restaurant, l'autentico, serves Neapolitan pizza and Italian cuisine in a casual setting. It is open every day from 11:30 to 23:00 and also offers a snack bar and wine/champagne (for an additional charge). The restaurant is well-regarded for quality and value, and staff can assist with check-in and queries. No breakfast is provided at the hotel. Several other dining options - including a traditional Viennese restaurant, an Asian restaurant, and a café - are within a 5-minute walk.

The property does not offer a spa, gym, pool, or leisure facilities. The nearby area provides ice-skating, kayaking, and canoeing opportunities. The quiet neighbourhood and close proximity to public transport make it a convenient base for exploring Vienna's cultural attractions rather than staying on-site for recreation.
