Newtown Cozy Stays is on the vibrant King Street, putting you steps from the suburb's eclectic shops, bars and restaurants. Newtown Station is a 7-minute walk away with direct trains to Sydney CBD, while buses to the city centre and Coogee Beach stop nearby. The Enmore Theatre is 10 minutes on foot, making it a convenient choice for concert visitors. Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Seymour Centre are both a 5-minute drive away. Driving to Sydney CBD and Sydney Airport takes about 10 minutes. Rooms at the back are notably quieter than those facing King Street, though the entire area is under the airport flight path so some plane noise is expected.

All rooms include a flat-screen TV, microwave, refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities, plus air conditioning and heating. Most have a private bathroom and a balcony, though balcony availability should be confirmed at booking. Room sizes are very compact - some twin beds are pushed together - making this a better fit for short stays or solo travellers who plan to be out most of the time. Rooms at the rear of the property are quieter, while front-facing rooms may pick up street noise. The property has no lift; all rooms are accessed via stairs, which can be challenging with heavy luggage. Soundproofing between rooms is limited.

Newtown Cozy Stays does not operate a restaurant, but you can purchase snacks and drinks from the lobby snack bar and coffee house. Each room comes with tea and coffee making facilities, and there is a shared kitchen with a microwave, kettle and utensils for self-catering. Free tea and coffee is available in the communal lounge throughout the day. The surrounding King Street area is packed with cafés and restaurants, including popular spots like Funky Monkey cafe, Sergio's Pizzeria, Hearth & Soul and Cocina Del Barrio within a few minutes' walk.
