ORCHARD HOTEL, London

The hotel sits on Sussex Gardens, a quiet residential street just off Edgware Road, offering a calm base amid a central location. Paddington Station (6 minutes on foot) connects you to the Heathrow Express, Elizabeth Line, and multiple tube lines, while Edgware Road tube station (5 minutes) serves the District, Circle, and Hammersmith & City lines. Major landmarks such as Hyde Park (for boating on The Serpentine), Madame Tussauds (17 minutes walk), Royal Albert Hall (2 km), and Victoria and Albert Museum (3 km) are easily reached on foot or by a short tube ride. The area is well served by bus stops, and within a few minutes' walk you'll find a wide choice of restaurants, supermarkets, and shops, making self-catering convenient. The street feels safe and well-lit even at night, and the neighbourhood is popular with travellers due to its transport links.

Breakfast is a straightforward continental buffet with limited variety: ham, cheese, cereal, boiled eggs, toast, jam, butter, and beverages. There is no hot food. The breakfast room can become crowded, and the short service window (7:30-8:45) means early rising is necessary. For those wanting a more substantial start, the surrounding area has numerous cafés and restaurants, including Indian, Italian, and British options within a short walk. Free tea and coffee are available in the lounge throughout the day. The hotel does not operate a restaurant or bar for other meals, but the neighbourhood provides plenty of alternatives.
