OXYGEN HOSTEL CAPSULA, Madrid

The hostel sits 15 km from Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport and 2 km from El Retiro Park. Atocha station provides direct train and metro links across the city and to the airport, making this a practical base for rail travellers. The Reina Sofia and Prado museums are within 15 minutes on foot. Nearby streets have a wide range of restaurants and cafés within a 5-minute walk, including several with vegetarian and local cuisine options. The surrounding area feels secure and well-connected for exploring the city centre without a car.

Each capsule contains a single or double bed with pillows, a reading light, USB ports, and a manual air conditioning control. The capsules are made of hard plastic, which means they can creak and transfer noise from neighbouring pods-especially those above-and are not soundproof. The double capsule is more suitable for one person than two, as it can become very warm and stuffy even with the air conditioning running. Approximately 20 to 24 capsules share one room, with lockers for valuables located in a separate area. Bathrooms and showers are communal, as are the shared kitchen and lounge/TV area.

The hostel offers a coffee house on site serving hot drinks and snacks, and a snack bar with vending machines for drinks and snacks. Breakfast can be delivered to the capsule at an additional cost. The shared kitchen is equipped with a microwave, electric kettle, toaster, and refrigerator, allowing guests to prepare their own meals.
