PENSION VERA, Vienna

Pension Vera is well placed for both public transport and walking. The Skodagasse tram stop (lines 43 and 44) is directly opposite the entrance, providing a four-stop ride to Schottentor U-Bahn station and the Ringstraße boulevard. The University of Vienna, the Votive Church, and the town hall are all within a 10-12 minute walk on foot. The immediate area is quiet despite being close to major thoroughfares. Two supermarkets are a minute's walk away, and several cafés and restaurants are within 300 metres. An underground car park is 500 metres from the property; the area offers free street parking on weekends and public holidays.

All rooms face the inner courtyard, making them notably quiet even though the building is on a road. En-suite private bathrooms with shower or bathtub are standard. Room sizes range from compact single rooms (bed 90x200 cm) and small doubles to very spacious family rooms with kitchenettes. Some rooms have parquet flooring, a sitting area, and an electric kettle. Wardrobes, heating, and flat-screen TVs are provided. Family rooms include a fridge but no coffee machine - complimentary coffee is available in the lobby. A few rooms have colourful walls or larger windows. Noise levels can be an issue inside the building; rooms are not fully soundproofed, and some guests have reported thin walls. Basement rooms may feel cold and lack ventilation. There are no balconies or air conditioning, and the bathrooms generally are small with limited ventilation. Bed comfort varies: some mattresses are new and firm, while others are reported as worn or uneven. Rooms are generally basic but clean, and daily housekeeping is provided.
