HOTEL PENSION WALZERSTADT, Vienna

Located in the vibrant 7th district, the hotel is a 5-minute walk from Zieglergasse subway station (U3) and 20 metres from Tram 49, which connects directly to Westbahnhof train station (900 metres away). The city centre and St. Stephen's Cathedral are reachable within 4 subway stops or a 20-minute walk through a lively area filled with restaurants, cafés, pubs and shops. The location is ideal for exploring on foot or by public transport, but parking is not available on-site; paid street parking and nearby garages are alternatives. The neighbourhood's energy means rooms facing the street may experience noise from the tram and traffic, so requesting an inner courtyard room can improve sleep quality.

The hotel offers double and twin rooms, each featuring satellite TV, a minibar, a hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi. Rooms with a private bathroom are confirmed. Some rooms include an electric kettle and ironing facilities. The furnishing style is older and basic, typical of a budget pension; rooms have been described as spacious but dated. There is no air conditioning, but a desk fan is available upon request. Windows toward the inner courtyard tend to be quieter, while street-facing rooms can be subject to tram and traffic noise. The hotel has no elevator, so access to the first floor is via stairs. Daily housekeeping and towel changes are provided, though cleanliness standards have been inconsistent.

The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but offers an optional breakfast buffet at an additional cost of around €7 per person. The breakfast is a simple selection of bread, pastries, coffee, tea, and packaged items-suitable for a light start but not a full cooked meal. For a wider or more substantial breakfast, the surrounding 7th district provides a wealth of restaurants, cafés, and bakeries within a 5-minute walk, including Berliner Restaurant, Cafe Konditorei Smolinka, and Toma Tu Tiempo. A vending machine for drinks and snacks is available on-site.

Free Wi-Fi is accessible in all areas. Reception services include express check-in/check-out, a tour desk, and a vending machine for drinks and snacks. Luggage storage is available both before check-in and after checkout, allowing easy city exploration. Daily room cleaning and towel replacement are provided. The hotel accepts Visa, EC-Card, and MasterCard. There is no on-site parking, no elevator, and no air conditioning. Pets are not allowed. Late check-in can be arranged via code or prior communication, though 24-hour front desk service is not guaranteed.
