PENSION VERGARA , SEVILLA, Seville

The location is the property's strongest asset, placing you within a 2-minute walk of the cathedral and Alcázar, in the heart of the Santa Cruz quarter. The area is traffic-free and authentically medieval, with dozens of tapas bars and restaurants directly outside the door and within a short stroll. Public parking is available at Avenida del Cid and Avenida de Cádiz, a 10-minute walk away, ideal for those arriving by car. For airport transfers, use a taxi or ride-share; no shuttle service is available.

Rooms are set around a garden patio and vary in configuration: singles, doubles/twins, triples, and family rooms accommodating up to 4. All rooms share one of six bathrooms located across two floors. Some rooms on the upper floors have windows and balconies that provide natural light and ventilation, while some interior rooms lack windows entirely and can feel dark. The accommodation is basic and utilitarian - suitable for travellers who prioritise location and budget over modern comfort. The historic building means walls are thin and street noise can be heard, particularly from ground-floor rooms.

The property does not operate a restaurant or serve breakfast. Guests are welcome to use the communal microwave, fridge, and kettle for preparing simple meals and hot drinks. The immediate surroundings offer a dense concentration of tapas bars and restaurants - many within a 1-minute walk - serving Spanish and local cuisine at moderate prices. Vending machines for drinks are available on site.
