PREMIER INN LONDON HOLBORN, London

The hotel is on Red Lion Street, a relatively quiet road lined with independent restaurants, cafés and a pub on the corner. Holborn tube station (Central and Piccadilly lines) is a short walk away, giving direct access to the West End, St Pancras International, and Heathrow via the Piccadilly line. Covent Garden, the British Museum, and Theatreland are all within a 15-20 minute walk. The immediate streets offer Korean, Italian, sushi and other dining options. The area feels safe at night, and despite being central, the street itself is usually calm.

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV with cable/satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, and an electric kettle. Some rooms include a walk-in shower, though the shower head is fixed. Rooms have a desk and hanging space but no wardrobe. The windows do not open, so ventilation relies entirely on the air conditioning, which some rooms find insufficient. Premier Plus rooms add a mini fridge, better coffee, and extra amenities. Bathrooms are private but some are compact with a low shower ceiling. Ground-floor rooms can suffer from damp smells and noise from bin collections. Rooms near the pub on the corner can be noisy at weekends. Soundproofing between rooms and the corridor is effective in most rooms, but doors slamming can be heard.

The restaurant is located on the lower ground floor and serves breakfast, dinner, and bar snacks. Breakfast includes a full English selection, pancakes, pastries, cereals, yoghurts, and fresh fruit. The cooked food is generally well-liked, but can sometimes be served cold if prepared early. The restaurant is small and can get busy, with limited staff meaning slower service at peak times. Dinner options include dishes like chicken makhani curry, oven-baked fish, fish and chips, and chicken goujons. The hotel offers a meal deal combining dinner and breakfast at a set price. Happy hour runs from 17:00 to 19:00 daily. A vending machine for drinks and snacks is also available near reception.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, though connection strength can be weak on upper floors and in rooms farthest from the corridor. Luggage storage is available free of charge at reception - guests can leave bags before check-in or after checkout. Reception is staffed 24 hours, though staff often handle both front desk and restaurant duties, causing queues. Express check-in/out is offered. Lifts are available, but they do not require a key card to operate, which is a security consideration. The hotel has facilities for disabled guests, including some accessible rooms on the ground floor. A wheelchair lift at the entrance is present but has been reported as broken or unreliable for extended periods, making access difficult for wheelchair users. Laundry and business services are not confirmed as available. There is no safe or minibar in standard rooms.
