Balconies are shared-level with little privacy, so guests often keep shutters closed. A persistent sewage smell is reported in some apartments, originating from cupboard drains, which is most noticeable in the bathroom. The lack of air conditioning makes summer stays uncomfortable, with temperatures inside often exceeding 30°C. Noise is variable: apartments facing the street or the refrigeration plant can be very loud, while those in the back are quieter. Some rooms have no hanging space for clothes.
