B&B HOTEL BORDEAUX CENTRE GARE SAINT-JEAN, Bordeaux

The hotel sits within 10 minutes on foot from the main railway station and tram network. The tram takes you to the city centre in about 10-15 minutes, making it easy to explore without a car. The surrounding area includes a supermarket, a few local eateries, and an ice-skating rink 2 km away. Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport is 14 km from the property; the best public transport option is the '30 minutes' bus line, with tickets available from the driver. While the location is convenient for transit, some streets near the station are under construction, so using a GPS for driving access is advisable. A paid underground garage is available nearby.

The hotel offers double, twin, triple (one double bed + one single bed), and quadruple rooms. All rooms feature air conditioning, soundproof walls, a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, a work desk, a wardrobe, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The double room also provides a coffee machine and chocolate. Rooms are generally small but clean and modern; space can be tight for two people with luggage. Noise from the train station or sports field can be an issue in some rooms, especially those facing the tracks. Request a quiet room away from these sources for a better night's sleep. Note that there is no kettle, minibar, or safe in the room.

The breakfast buffet costs €10.95 per person and is served from 05:30 to 10:00 on weekdays and until 10:30 on weekends. It includes warm dishes (scrambled eggs, bacon), fresh pastries, cheese, fruit, yogurt, juice, and a coffee machine. Dairy-free options such as muesli, rusks, cereal bread, baguette, honey, fruit juice, fresh apples, fruit jam, and compote are available. The breakfast room can feel crowded during peak times. For other meals, the hotel has vending machines for drinks and snacks, and a food delivery service can be ordered via the lobby screen. Several restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk: Chicko's (0.5 km), Brasserie Belcier (0.5 km), and Sushi Design (0.5 km).

No on-site wellness or sport facilities are available beyond the shared lounge with a TV. The nearest leisure option is the ice-skating rink located 2 km from the hotel. The hotel is well positioned for cycling, with secure bicycle storage and easy access to bike routes.

The hotel provides free Wi-Fi in all rooms and a 24-hour front desk. Express check-in/check-out and private check-in are available. Other services include free luggage storage, a shared lounge/TV area, a vending machine for drinks and snacks, and a coffee machine in the lobby. For guests with electric vehicles, there is a free charging station in the parking garage. The property offers accessible parking and features such as a lower bathroom sink, grab rails in the toilet, and a wheelchair-accessible entrance. Safety features include CCTV, key-card access, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and a security alarm. Pets are allowed for a fee of €4 per animal.
