QUALITY INN IWO JIMA, Arlington

Located on Fairfax Drive, the hotel is just under 1 km from the Rosslyn Metro station, offering direct Blue, Orange, and Silver line service to downtown DC. Arlington National Cemetery and the Marine Corps War Memorial are within a 15-minute walk, and Georgetown is about 30 minutes on foot. The neighborhood is safe and residential, with a number of restaurants, fast-food options, and a Target supermarket within walking distance. Free on-site parking makes it practical for drivers, though the hotel's position along a busy road can contribute to traffic noise.

Rooms are notably large and come equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, flat-screen TV, and individually controlled air conditioning and heating. Beds are often described as comfortable and pillows as plentiful. However, the property is in need of renovation: carpets are worn and stained, furniture is dated, bathrooms may show wear, and some rooms have reported moldy smells or issues with lighting. Road-facing rooms and thin walls can let in highway noise. For light sleepers, a room on a higher floor or away from the road is advisable.

The hotel does not serve breakfast or have an on-site restaurant. From approximately 7:00 to 10:00, free coffee and tea are available from machines in the lobby area. Several casual dining options, including Piola, Tasty Dugout, and Domino's Pizza, are within a 10-minute walk, and the Rosslyn Metro area offers additional eateries. Rooms have a microwave and refrigerator, making self-catering a practical option.

The property does not have a swimming pool, fitness centre, or spa. Leisure value comes from the hotel's location near outdoor attractions: Arlington National Cemetery, the Marine Corps War Memorial, and the walkable streets of Rosslyn and Georgetown. The Rosslyn Metro station provides quick access to all of Washington DC's museums and monuments.
