RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT AUSTIN AIRPORT, Austin

The hotel is 9 km from the Austin Convention Center and 10 km from McKinney Falls State Park, making it a practical base for both business and outdoor activities. The free airport shuttle is available, but it only serves the north terminal; travellers departing from the south terminal should plan an additional 30-40 minutes for a connecting shuttle or arrange a taxi (US$30-40). The property sits off a main road with limited signage and can be difficult to find on the first approach. While the area is generally quiet, some sporadic homeless presence near the hotel has been noted. A car or ride-hail is the most reliable way to explore downtown and local attractions.

Breakfast includes eggs, sausages, potatoes, cereals, waffles, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, and more. The selection is generally well-regarded, with some finding it sufficiently varied for a comfortable start to the day. For those staying a week or longer, the options can become repetitive. No restaurant, bar, or room service is available on site. A snack bar and minimarket are present for basic provisions. The kitchen in the suite enables full self-catering, and grocery deliveries can be arranged for an additional charge.

The outdoor pool is open year-round with operating hours from 07:00 to 22:00 and pool towels provided. Adjacent to the pool area is a hot tub/jacuzzi and an outdoor fireplace, which creates a pleasant spot for relaxation in the evening. The fitness centre is free to use, though it has limited air circulation. A picnic area with barbecue facilities is available for guests who wish to cook outdoors. There is no spa or wellness centre on site.

Wi-Fi is free in rooms and throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk can assist with check-in, billing questions, and luggage storage. The free airport shuttle is available but may not run 24 hours; confirm the schedule at check-in to avoid last-minute issues. Parking is on site for US$3.87 per day; no reservation is needed, but the lot is open-air with no cameras, and break-ins have been reported. A business centre and meeting/banquet facilities are available for an additional charge. Dry cleaning and laundry services are also provided at an extra cost. The property is fully accessible with elevators, accessible parking, and roll-in showers in some suites. Pets are allowed for a fee.
