RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT ATLANTA DOWNTOWN, Atlanta

The hotel sits on Forsyth Street in the heart of downtown, directly across from the MARTA station (Peachtree Center) providing direct rail service to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in under 20 minutes. Major attractions including the Georgia World Congress Center, CNN Center, World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, and Centennial Olympic Park are all within a 15-minute walk or a short ride. The Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena are 6 blocks or about 10-12 minutes on foot. Restaurants and cafes line the surrounding streets within a 5-minute walk. The immediate area is busy during the day but can feel less comfortable at night due to a concentration of homeless individuals. For car-based travel, the hotel is 13 km from the airport and 2 km from Georgia State University.

The hotel offers one-bedroom suites and studios, each with a separate living area featuring a sofa bed, dining table, and a full kitchen equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, toaster, dishwasher, coffee maker, and cookware. Bedrooms have one king bed or queen bed, satellite TV, ironing facilities, heating, and a flat-screen TV with streaming apps. Some queen suites have a mobility-accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower. Rooms on higher floors (16th-20th) provide city views, including the Capitol building. The decor is functional but dated; carpets and furniture may show wear. Street-facing rooms on lower floors can experience significant noise from traffic and nightlife. Air conditioning units are audible in most rooms. Closet space is limited, and some rooms lack a proper desk suitable for laptop work. Lighting in the bathroom can be dim. Kitchens typically include utensils, though some suites have been reported with incomplete or dirty dishware-inspect upon arrival.

Breakfast is included and features a rotating selection of eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, make-your-own waffles, oatmeal with toppings, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, tea, and coffee. The breakfast area uses paper plates and disposable cups. The hotel also offers a grocery shopping service for guests who want to stock their suite's kitchen. Within a short walk are numerous restaurants including Pittypat's Porch (0.5 km), Terrace Bistro (0.5 km), Sun Dial Restaurant & Bar (0.5 km), Hard Rock Cafe (0.5 km), and several others serving a range of cuisines. For guests who prefer to cook, the full kitchen in each suite provides flexibility.

The fitness centre is open 24 hours and includes cardio equipment and free weights. It is a basic facility rather than a full gym. There is no swimming pool, spa, or other leisure facilities on the property. The hotel's downtown location provides easy access to parks such as Centennial Olympic Park and walking paths for outdoor activity.
