From JFK, take the Airtrain to Howard Beach, transfer to the A train to Jay St-MetroTech, then the F train to 2nd Avenue. Iconic food destinations such as Katz's Delicatessen, Russ & Daughters, and Yonah Schimmel's Knish Bakery are within 300 metres, as are Whole Foods Market, Essex Street Market, and numerous bars and clubs. The area is walkable to Chinatown, Soho, and Little Italy. For drivers, on-street parking is free on Eldridge Street outside cleaning hours (8:00-9:30 AM every other day); a nearby garage charges approximately $55 per day for a small vehicle.

Room types include King (one king bed), Queen (one queen bed), Full (one full bed), Twin (two twin beds), and Triple (bunk beds-full on bottom, twin on top). All rooms are compact by NYC standards; the Triple and some lower-floor rooms are notably small, making it challenging to open large suitcases. Some rooms on the ground floor (101, 102, 605) are adjacent to the lobby or entrance and suffer from significant noise from the street, hallway, and coffee machine. Rooms on higher floors are quieter but noise from neighbouring clubs and traffic can still be an issue. Air conditioning and heating are individually controlled, but some units have been reported to malfunction (resulting in warm rooms or ticking noises). Rooms include a flat-screen TV with cable, iPod/Bluetooth clock, safe, hair dryer, iron/board, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The bathrooms are private, with walk-in showers, grab rails in accessible rooms, and free toiletries. Soundproofing is limited, but the rooftop provides a spacious escape.

The property does not operate a restaurant or bar. A complimentary self-service coffee station and filtered water are available in the lobby at all times, along with snacks at check-in. Each room has a microwave and mini-fridge, allowing guests to prepare simple meals or store groceries. The surrounding neighbourhood offers an immense variety of dining, from iconic delis (Katz's, Russ & Daughters) to late-night pizza, halal options, and Asian cuisine, all within a 5-minute walk. For a wider selection of fresh groceries, Whole Foods Market is a 3-minute walk away.

The rooftop terrace (7th floor) is open day and night and has been upgraded with covered areas, lounge chairs, and benches, providing an excellent vantage point for enjoying the Manhattan skyline. It is a popular spot for evening relaxation and viewing fireworks. The basement communal lounge offers a shared kitchen, seating, and TV area. There is no swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre on site.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel and generally reliable for browsing, though occasional weakness has been reported in some rooms. The 24-hour front desk is often staffed, but at times may be unattended; for after-hours issues, a phone number is provided. The building has a lift, and there are rooms adapted for guests with mobility needs (including accessible showers and lower beds). Meeting/banquet facilities are available free of charge. Daily housekeeping is not included and costs extra (approx. $35 per cleaning); towels can be exchanged at the lobby. Luggage storage is not provided. A security deposit of $150 is held at check-in, plus a $50 cleaning fee. The hotel is non-smoking throughout; smoking is permitted only on the rooftop. Pets are not allowed.
