RIVER STAR HOTEL, Prague

Room types include twin, triple, and family rooms. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower (no bathtub). Standard in-room amenities include a flat-screen satellite TV, fridge, electric kettle, wardrobe, safe deposit box, and free toiletries. The property is older and some furnishings show wear; carpets and curtains are dated. Families can request a baby cot at no extra cost. The lack of air conditioning is mitigated by a fan provided in each room. Rooms are centrally heated in winter. For a quieter stay, note that some rooms on lower floors may experience minor street noise and that the building has no lift.

A continental buffet breakfast is available daily for an additional fee - you can select a rate with or without breakfast. The buffet includes hot items (eggs, sausages), cheeses, cold cuts, fresh bread, pastries, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, coffee, and juices. The breakfast room has a canteen style and can feel cramped. No restaurant or bar is present on site, but several dining options are a short walk away: Chinese, Czech, and pizza restaurants within 0.3km, and a supermarket right next door for self-catering.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Services include daily housekeeping, express check-in/-out, private check-in/-out, luggage storage (free of charge), a tour desk, currency exchange, and a shared lounge/TV area. For business needs, fax/photocopying is available free of charge. CCTV covers common areas and the exterior; key access and smoke alarms are provided. Accepted payment methods: Visa, JCB, Maestro, MasterCard. Pets are not allowed. Smoking is prohibited inside the building, but a designated smoking area is available.

The hotel sits in a quiet Prague neighbourhood, about 5km from the historic centre. Budejovicka metro station (LineC) is 8minutes on foot and provides a direct link to the Old Town (15-minute ride). The Ryšánka bus stop is right outside, with buses reaching Arkády shopping centre in 5minutes. A supermarket (Albert) is a short walk away. Paid public parking is available directly in front - 20CZK/hour on weekdays (8:00-20:00), free overnight and all weekend. For airport transfers, take public transport as no shuttle is provided.

The hotel does not have a swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre. For active recreation, the property provides free walking tours and can advise on local hiking routes. The shared lounge/TV area offers a communal space to relax.
