The immediate neighbourhood is quiet but secure, with a Carrefour supermarket on the corner and numerous bars and restaurants (La Portuguesa Taberna, Saisho, Al Baretto, Txirimiri, and more) all within a 5-minute walk. A taxi from Madrid-Barajas Airport costs around 30 euros and takes roughly 25 minutes.

Accommodation is basic and functional, with each room containing a bed, a small table, hangers instead of a wardrobe, and a ceiling fan - there is no air conditioning or fridge. Some rooms include a TV and a small desk, but several reviews note the lack of a chair. Private or shared bathroom options exist; private bathrooms are small, often windowless, with no ventilation fan, which can cause humidity and odour. Rooms on the sunny side can become very hot, especially in late spring and summer.
