SAN GALLO GUESTHOUSE, Florence

The Accademia Gallery is 500 metres away, and the Uffizi Gallery is an 18-minute walk. Palazzo Vecchio is 1 km, and Fortezza da Basso convention centre is a 14-minute walk. The property is 9 km from Florence Airport; a tram from the airport stops within a short walk. Numerous restaurants, cafés, and bars are within 300 metres, including Antica Trattoria da Tito and Il Forno San Gallo. An ice-skating rink is also nearby. The location is quiet for much of the day yet central enough to explore the historic centre on foot.

Room layouts vary from singles to family-sized units with up to 2 beds plus sofa beds. Quadruple rooms offer city views. Bathrooms are compact with showers, bidets, and hairdryers. Some rooms include a refrigerator. Soundproofing is limited: street noise and sounds from adjacent rooms can be audible, especially from the toilet and plumbing. Windows with single glazing allow external noise. Light sleepers may prefer rooms away from the street. Air conditioning is available but can be noisy in some units. The building has no elevator, and rooms are on upper floors via staircases. Furnishings are functional and may show signs of wear.

The guesthouse does not have a restaurant or breakfast service. Within 300 metres you'll find Pasticceria Goretta for pastries, Il Forno San Gallo bakery, and several trattorias and pizzerias for lunch and dinner. Antica Trattoria da Tito and Trattoria Calandrino are popular for traditional Florentine cuisine. An Irish pub and a vegan restaurant are also nearby. Most rooms come with a small table and chairs for in-room snacking.

Check-in from 12:00 and check-out by 10:30. Self check-in is possible with codes provided after booking. Housekeeping is not offered automatically but can be requested at reception. A Tourist Tax is collected on site in cash. Parking is not available; a public garage is about a 10-minute walk (approx. €15/24h). Pets are not allowed.
