SWEET HOME COSSERIA, Florence

The property sits opposite the Fortezza Gardens, home to the Fortezza da Basso exhibition and conference centre. Santa Maria Novella Train Station is just 10-15 minutes on foot, and the tram stop (T1 line, 5 minutes away) connects directly to the historic core and the station. Walking to the Duomo and other landmarks takes 15-25 minutes, with the route through the gardens a pleasant option. Excellent bus links also serve the centre. The location is practical for both car and rail travellers: the private road offers free street parking, and the highway is a 10-minute drive.

Rooms feature air conditioning, soundproofing, a private bathroom, and an LCD TV. The units are notably spacious for central Florence, with comfortable beds and modern, clean interiors. Some rooms are described as large enough for families, with a sofa bed in addition to a king bed. A kettle, coffee machine, and free bottled water are provided in the common area. Although no rooms have a balcony, the terrace and outdoor furniture offer an alternative space. Daily housekeeping includes bed-making, vacuuming, and trash removal, a convenience not always found at this price point. The building is secure, with a code and key entry system.

Sweet Home Cosseria does not have a restaurant or breakfast service, so guests need to plan meals at nearby eateries. The host is known for providing detailed recommendations for excellent restaurants in the area, including options close to Ponte Vecchio. A drinks vending machine is available, and free coffee, tea, and water are offered at the property entrance. Several restaurants, pizzerias, and a gelateria are within a 5-10 minute walk, and the historic centre has countless dining choices.

The wellness and leisure facilities are limited to the outdoor spaces: a garden, terrace, and outdoor furniture provide a calm area for sitting out. The quiet location on a private road also makes the immediate surroundings suitable for an evening stroll.

Wi-Fi is free and available in all areas. Parking is free public parking at a location nearby (off-site), with no reservation needed - a rare and valuable amenity for Florence. The property offers a paid airport shuttle service (pick-up and drop-off), express check-in/check-out without charge, and private check-in/check-out. Daily housekeeping is standard. There is no lift; rooms are accessed via stairs. Luggage storage can be arranged with the host. A designated smoking area is available, but the entire property is non-smoking.
