SARAGOZZA RESIDENCE, Bologna

The residence is located a short distance outside the historic Saragozza gate, placing the city centre within a 10-15 minute walk. Bus stops are at the doorstep (bus 20) or a 5-minute walk away (bus 33), offering direct connections to the train station (12 minutes) and airport (9 km). The area is scenic, with easy access to the portico route to San Luca, a popular walking path. Numerous restaurants, cafés, and a pub are within 0.3-0.5 km, and the neighbourhood is quiet with good transport links, making it practical for both sightseeing and commuting without a car.

Rooms are recently renovated, bright, and spacious-often larger than shown in photos. Double, triple, and quadruple rooms are available, with sofa beds in the triple and quadruple rooms to accommodate families or groups. Each room features a private bathroom with shower, bidet, hairdryer, and free toiletries, plus bathrobes. Comfort amenities include air conditioning, heating, a work desk, wardrobe, and tea/coffee facilities. Many rooms overlook a quiet inner courtyard, and the modern furniture is kept spotlessly clean. Some rooms also offer a view of the street. The building is an older structure with character, but interiors are fully updated.

Breakfast is served at a nearby bistro a 2-5 minute walk from the residence, offering a choice of coffee, tea, or cappuccino with a croissant, or a savoury option like bread with ham or mortadella. The bistro also offers a fresh juice alternative. The surrounding streets have a variety of restaurants, including Trattoria Casa Mia, La Piccola Baita, and Sabor Latino, all within 0.5 km, as well as cafés and a pub. The partner bistro provides a 10% discount on lunch/dinner for guests.

The area offers hiking trails, making it an ideal base for walking the Via degli Dei or heading to the Sanctuary of San Luca via the longest portico in the world. Rafting opportunities are also accessible in the surrounding region, catering to those seeking outdoor adventure beyond the city centre.

Practical services include private and express check-in/out, free luggage storage-useful for exploring before check-in or after check-out-and a shared lounge/TV area. WiFi is free throughout the property. Reception services include invoice provision, and the owner is available to assist with maps and local advice. Safety features include CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, and key access. Accepted payment methods: American Express, Visa, Maestro, CartaSi, MasterCard. Note: there is no on-site parking, but street parking is available along the street.
