SEJOURS & AFFAIRES LYON PARK LANE, Lyon

The property sits on a main road in a safe, convenient area of the 9th arrondissement. Gorge de Loup Metro station (line D) is a 2- to 3-minute walk, putting the city centre two stops away. Place Bellecour is 4 km by car, and Lyon-Perrache station is about 13 minutes' drive. Several restaurants, a supermarket, and takeaways are within 300 m. Street parking is free in August; otherwise, the on-site garage (€11/day, reservation required) is tight - a compact car is advisable.

Units range from compact studios to more spacious one-bedroom apartments with separate living areas. All come with a private bathroom (shower in studios, bathtub in some apartments), a flat-screen TV, and a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, fridge, and stovetop - useful for self-catering. Some apartments feature a private balcony. Sofa beds are provided for extra guests but may feel less comfortable. The property has soundproofed rooms on the road side, road-facing rooms can still be noisy, especially with windows open. No air conditioning; fans are available. Interior rooms are quieter. Decor is basic and dated, ideal for budget-conscious travellers who prioritise location and functionality over modern finishes.

A breakfast buffet is served on weekdays only (Monday to Friday) at an additional cost of €10 per person. The spread is described as basic continental. On weekends and outside breakfast hours, guests need to make their own arrangements. The surrounding area offers a good range of cafés, bakeries, and restaurants within a short walk, including options such as Yamato, Ninkasi Gorge de Loup, and Comptoir 41. The kitchenette in each room allows self-catering for other meals.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the building. On-site laundry facilities are available at an additional charge. Private underground parking costs €11 per day and must be reserved in advance - the garage is narrow, suitable for compact cars. The lift serves all floors, though occasional breakdowns have been reported. Pets are permitted for a daily fee of €4. The property is non-smoking, family rooms are available, and soundproofing is present. Reception is staffed from 15:00 to 18:00; late check-in can be arranged via a key safe. Payment is accepted by American Express, Visa, and MasterCard.
