HONORE - SUITES BELLECOUR, Lyon

Positioned between the two iconic squares Place Bellecour and Place des Terreaux, this property places you within a minute's walk of Rue Victor Hugo's shops and pedestrian street, and a short stroll from the Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourvière, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral, and the Museum of Fine Arts. The area is dense with bars, cafés, supermarkets, and restaurants (many within 0.5 km). Lyon Part-Dieu train station is about 3 km away. For car-free exploration, Place Bellecour serves as a major transit hub with two metro lines and numerous buses providing fast connections across the city. The apartment building itself is on a quiet street or overlooks an inner courtyard, ensuring rest despite the central setting.

These self-contained apartments feel generously sized - suitable for 3 to 4 people - with high ceilings, parquet flooring, and a modern yet tasteful décor. Each unit has a separate living area with a dining table, a flat-screen TV, and a fully equipped kitchen including a fridge, kettle, microwave, and washing machine. Bedrooms come with large double beds and an additional single bed; the main double bed is often described as very spacious and comfortable. A private bathroom features a bath with shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Storage is abundant, and the apartments are kept exceptionally clean. While there is no air conditioning, a ceiling fan is provided and generally found to be sufficient in all but the hottest weather. The property does not have rooms with a balcony.

The apartments include a full kitchen with cookware, utensils, an electric kettle, and a microwave - ideal for preparing meals if preferred. If you choose to eat out, the area immediately around Place Bellecour and Rue Victor Hugo is dense with cafés, brasseries, and restaurants, including Chez Jackie, Brasserie Georges, La Cuvee, and Creperie DES gones - all within a 1 km walk. A wide selection of cuisines is available, from Lyonnaise bouchons to international options. Shops and supermarkets are also within a few minutes' walk for groceries. For guests who prefer a served breakfast, several nearby cafés offer morning meals.

There is no pool, spa, or gym on the premises. However, the magnificent Place Bellecour itself is a large pedestrian square, and the historic centre with its museums, basilicas, and the Rhône and Saône riverbanks are all within walking distance. For a green space, the Jardin des Chartreux or the Parc de la Tête d'Or is a short metro ride away.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The building has a lift (elevator) but note that access to the lift requires climbing half a flight of stairs - about 8 steps - so it is not fully step-free. Check-in is flexible: keys are left under the doormat, enabling late arrivals (until 23:30) and self-service access. A luggage storage option is available for early arrivals who wish to explore before check-in. The property is non-smoking throughout and has key-code building entry for security. Pets are allowed on request with no extra charge. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, and UnionPay. Housekeeping is not automatically daily, so if needed, request it in advance.
