SHERATON JFK AIRPORT HOTEL, New York

The Sheraton JFK Airport Hotel is situated in a light-industrial zone about five minutes from JFK Airport by car. There are no restaurants, shops or services within walking distance, so guests should plan meals and supplies in advance. The free 24-hour shuttle connects the hotel to JFK's Federal Circle station, where the AirTrain provides free access to all airport terminals and paid onward travel to the Jamaica station for subway connections into Manhattan. A journey to Times Square takes roughly one hour via shuttle, AirTrain and subway. For those driving, the hotel offers on-site paid parking, but spaces are not guaranteed and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

Accommodation at the Sheraton JFK includes a private bathroom with a shower-bath combination, a flat-screen cable TV, in-room safe, ironing facilities and tea/coffee-making equipment. Bed sizes vary, and rooms are typically generous in size, which is notable for an airport hotel. Some rooms have been recently modernised, while others show signs of wear and tear, including stained carpets. The building is carpeted throughout. Internal noise from adjacent service areas and corridor doors can be disruptive, so light sleepers should request a room positioned away from service rooms and ice machines. The property's air conditioning and heating systems are functional but may produce ventilation noise. Refrigerators and microwaves are not standard, but can be requested from reception.

The hotel's main dining venue is Rosemary's Restaurant on the ground floor, offering a typical American menu with large portions. A bar and lounge area in the lobby provides a more casual setting for drinks and snacks. Breakfast is available at an additional charge of US$19, offering a continental-style buffet. A Club Lounge on the 7th floor provides complimentary breakfast and evening snacks for guests with Club Level access. The restaurant menu is described as basic, with limited vegetarian options. Room service is available but the menu is limited. Given the industrial surroundings with no nearby restaurants, guests arriving late or staying for longer may want to plan dinner ahead or check the offering at the neighbouring Hilton Garden hotel.

Key services include a 24-hour front desk with concierge and an ATM on site. Luggage storage is available free of charge. The hotel offers a free business centre with fax and photocopying facilities, plus meeting and banquet spaces available at an additional charge. Laundry and dry cleaning are also available at extra cost. The property is fully non-smoking with allergy-free rooms, and has a lift for accessibility. Family rooms are available, and pets are allowed on request at no extra charge. The free 24-hour shuttle runs between the hotel and JFK's Federal Circle station. On-site private parking costs US$30 per day and is first-come, first-served, with no reservation needed. The free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property but its connection strength has been noted as inconsistent, which may affect guests needing reliable internet for work or planning.
