The hotel is located 23 km from Tokyo Haneda Airport, with easy limousine bus access from the Shinjuku Station west exit. Inari Kio Shrine is a 4-minute walk away, the Samurai Museum is 300 metres, and Shinjuku Subnade Shopping Mall is 500 metres. Over a dozen restaurants and cafés are within 300 metres, including ramen shops and chain coffee outlets. A 7-Eleven convenience store is right next door. The subway entrance is about 0.5 km away, though the station concourse requires a short walk. The surrounding area is lively and well-connected for both sightseeing and nightlife, and remains safe for solo travellers even late in the evening.

All rooms are air-conditioned with heating, a work desk, flat-screen TV, electric kettle, free toiletries, hairdryer, and wardrobe. The en suite bathrooms are private and cleaned daily. Single rooms are functional but compact; some include a non-accessible balcony (not for use as an outdoor space). The property is older and the decor reflects a mid-century style, but cleanliness is consistently maintained.

Shinjuku Urban Hotel does not operate a restaurant, bar, or breakfast service. A drinks vending machine is available in the hotel. For meals, the surrounding streets are filled with ramen shops, izakayas, and casual eateries - including Kyushuramen Hakatakko Shinjukuten, Niboshi Ramen Nagi, and Teppan Baby Shinjuku, all within a 5-minute walk.
